Rick Gunn designs and builds custom guitars in his basement workshop in a suburb of Atlanta. To accommodate Rick’s production timelines, we were able complete shooting within one day, utilize a two person crew, and complete the edit within a two-week turnaround.

When we met Rick, he already had an audience and a demand for his product. The focus for Rose Creek was to build loyalty of the existing audience.

Here’s what the roadmap consisted of:

  • Brand Story: Since Rick is the center of this business, we knew we needed to tell his story. His past, present, and future desires paved the way for a story showing the unique passion behind each guitar.

  • Making of Shots: To capture the essence of his space and craft the perspective of the world he’s created, we decided to shoot in the heart of his workshop.

  • Further Thought Leadership: In the strategy session, we discovered a potential to create a course on guitar making to further the brand.

 

 

Roadmap to Photo & Video

With a two-person team and one day at Rick’s workshop, we captured:

  • Interview: Guided by the roadmap and genuine conversation, we captured authentic and compelling responses that speak to the story of his brand.

  • B-roll: Supplemental clips of Rick in action were captured to visually compliment his story and immerse the viewer in his space.

  • Photos: In addition to the video, Rick also needed updated headshots which we were able to provide on the day of shooting.

 

 

Content Multiplied

With the finalized product as a guide, we pulled clips from the brand story video and photos from the production to give Rick additional content from only one day of shooting.
